Today was day 6, which is our 5th stage. Yesterday was our rest day. Stage 5 is the one that I look forward to the least. It’s 25.6km up, down and around a ski hill. There are also sections of single track So, combining the hills with the technical components makes it very difficult for me since I train primarily on a treadmill. ENDURrun Day 4
Day four was an evening race. It was a hilly 10 mile run that ended with a big climb. It was very hot out, even at 6pm, so most people were taking it more conservatively than they normally would. The support on the course was amazing. People were handing out sponges, baggies of ice, water bottles and others were chasing you down with spray bottles. Continue reading “ENDURrun Day 4”
ENDURrun Day 3
Day 3 was a 30km cross-country trail race. You complete six 5K loops, which can be difficult when you see the same hills 6 times. I do not particularly like trails of any kind, so today was one of the races that I don’t look forward to. Continue reading “ENDURrun Day 3”
ENDURrun Day 2
Today was another beautiful day out there for racing. It was day 2, which is a time trial. We all start one minute apart with the fastest person starting last.
